ANTICO PIZZA NAPOLETANA

Finally made it over to the insanely lauded ANTICO PIZZA NAPOLETANA last night and here are my conclusions:

  1. Yes, people have lost their minds over this place, but yes it’s that good.
  2. The pizza is not made from unicorns as some have proposed.  I could find no evidence of a pen or holding container for said unicorns.  Frozen unicorns would be impossible as the pizza tastes too fresh.
  3. The Diavaola is the owner’s favorite and for good reason… it is the best.  The soprasetta made me weep.
  4. I love how their website has an ITALIAN domain. Attention to detail is everything.
  5. The pizza takes 60 seconds to make, so arrive alive.  Mine was in front of me before I could work out the pronunciation.
  6. The cannoli was the best I’ve ever had outside of New England and I’m taking them home over Thanksgiving for my father to decide if they’re the best ever.  The one below is pistachio.  Or as the lovely Italian lady at the counter said “Pistaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-chee-o.”  KOBAYASHI doesn’t take care of hot dogs faster than I did this thing.
