MARK WEAVER is an extremely accomplished illustrator / designer whose work I really enjoy. He’s done logotype and character work for some pretty notable clients, but its the collages that are displayed in his MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY series Flickr group that I always find myself returning to for inspiration. There’s something cold and detached and almost monolithic about the pieces that’s evocative of the RUSSIAN CONSTRUCTIVISM movement and the guy has a knack for pairing images with the perfect type. Go check out the rest of his work and hopefully this, paired with some strong coffee, will get your gears going this Monday morning.
And by the way…. you really should try to MAKE SOMTHING COOL EVERYDAY.
